At 251 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Wylliesburg, or 7 miles northwest of Chase City, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Reduced visibility and minor flooding possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Mecklenburg, southeastern Prince Edward, Lunenburg and southwestern Nottoway Counties, including the following locations... Prince Edward Station, Spanish Grove, Briery, Loves Mill, Arvins Store, Murdocks, Twin Lakes State Park, Finneywood, Nutbush, and Burkes Tavern.
