* WHAT...
Heavy rain continues to impact the central portion of Wilkes county, just north of North Wilkesboro. Minor flooding in this area remains likely.

* WHERE...
Central Wilkes county in northwest North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 615 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms continues across central Wilkes county with additional rainfall spreading into the area from the south. Excessive rainfall will lead to flooding of streets, as well as small streams and creeks. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding. Between 1.8 and 2.2 inches of rain have fallen during the past couple of hours. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is likely. If conditions worsen, a Flash Flood Warning may need to be issued.
- Additional Comments: Mulberry area is the most likely place to experience minor flooding.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Reddies River, Bee Tree Branch, Yadkin River, Rock Creek, Camp Branch, Mulberry Creek and Roaring River.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
