Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of central North Carolina, including the following county, Chatham.

* WHEN...
Until 215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1207 AM EDT, The heavy rainfall has ended and mostly light to moderate rain remains. Additional rises along creeks and streams are expected to slowly crest within the next hour or two with gradual improvement thereafter. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsboro, Goldston, Bynum, Fearrington and Jordan Lake.
