Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... Portions of central and northern West Virginia, including the following counties, in central West Virginia, Braxton, Clay, Nicholas and Webster. In northern West Virginia, Pocahontas, Randolph and Upshur. * WHEN... Until 530 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS... Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1127 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. In addition, lingering snowpack in this area will contribute to flooding concerns as melting snow increases local runoff. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
