Patchy dense fog can be expected across east Tennessee and southwest North Carolina and parts of southwest Virginia early this morning.
Visibility will be reduced to below one quarter mile in places.
When traveling today drive with caution and slow down. Be prepared for sudden drops in visibility over short distances due to the fog. Give yourself extra distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
The fog will dissipate later tonight or by mid-morning with cloudy skies and more showers moving in this morning.
