* WHAT...
Repeated periods of heavy rainfall will result in minor flooding for the central areas of Wilkes county, especially those areas between the Wilkesboro airport and Mulberry * WHERE...Wilkes county, in northwest North Carolina.

* WHEN...
Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 443 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in Mulberry area.
Between 1.8 and 2.2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additoinal Comments: Mulberry area is the most likely place to experience minor flooding.
This includes the following streams and drainages...
Reddies River, Bee Tree Branch, Yadkin River, Rock Creek, Camp Branch, Mulberry Creek and Roaring River.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
