Portions of central and south central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in central Virginia, Campbell and City of Lynchburg. In south central Virginia, Bedford. * WHEN... Until 1000 AM EST. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 706 AM EST, Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain fell Saturday. This resulted in minor flooding of small streams. These smaller streams are receding, but water is now moving downstream into the larger streams and Rivers. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Otter River, Beaverpond Branch, Bear Creek and Back Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area this morning. This rain may result in additional flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lynchburg... Bedford... Altavista... Brookneal... Evington... Forest...
