Winter Weather Advisory issued May 20 at 2:28PM MDT until May 21 at 6:00PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO

* WHAT...
Snow. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, except 3 to 6 inches along the Interstate-25 corridor. Winds gusting as high as 45 to 55 mph.

* WHERE...
Portions of the Continental Divide region, southern parts of the southeast Colorado Mountains, and the Interstate-25 corridor in Pueblo and Huerfano Counties.

* WHEN...
Until 6 PM MDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...
Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening commute. Heavy, wet snow could cause damage to trees and power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
For elevations below 5000 feet including eastern portions of the Pueblo area, snow accumulations are forecast to be lighter, generally 4 inches or less. Also, overnight lows tonight are expected to fall below freezing across portions of Pueblo and Huerfano Counties. Take precautions to protect tender vegetation as well as exposed irrigation systems to prevent damage.
