Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of North Carolina and southwest Virginia, including the following counties, in North Carolina, Alleghany NC, Surry and Yadkin. In southwest Virginia, Grayson and Wythe.

* WHEN...
Until 130 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 922 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Bull Run, Cripple Creek, Chestnut Creek, Cody Creek, Beaver Creek, Arnold Branch, Brush Creek, Camp Creek, Christian Creek, Cranberry Creek, Big Pine Creek and Cold Run.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
