PATCHY DENSE FOG POSSIBLE THIS EVENING...
Clearing skies, calm conditions, and residual moisture from the earlier rainfall has led to areas of fog this evening. The visibilities were lowest in the northern Piedmont around Roxboro and Henderson at mid-evening, where visibilities were less than a half mile. Visibility reductions to around a half mile may become common elsewhere through late evening, with locally dense fog and visibilities less than 100 yards possible. The fog is expected to last into the late evening before drier air moves in from the west around midnight or 100 AM.
Motorists should be alert for rapid changes in visibilities.
Drive at a reduced rate and use low beam headlights.
