Canceled 9/27/25 8:53 PM Flood Advisory issued September 27 at 6:34PM EDT until September 27 at 9:45PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, Carroll, City of Radford, Pulaski and Wythe. * WHEN... Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 633 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... East Fork Indian Grave Creek, Big Macks Creek, Altoona Branch, Goose Creek, Back Creek, Brown Lick Branch, Crab Creek, Dry Branch, Connellys Run, Deepwater Creek, Carper Branch, Bentley Branch and Big Reed Island Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Radford...
