Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
Portions of southwest and west central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in southwest Virginia, City of Radford, Floyd and Montgomery. In west central Virginia, Roanoke.

* WHEN...
Until 1145 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 842 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Elliott Creek, Laurel Branch, Calhoun Run, Eckels Branch, Crab Creek, Big Indian Creek, Brake Branch, Bonys Run, Brush Creek, Lick Fork, Connellys Run and Georges Run.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
