At 920 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 10 miles south of Sanford, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Sanford, Southern Pines, Pittsboro, Lillington, Carthage, Siler City, Fort Bragg, Fuquay-Varina, Pinehurst, and Aberdeen.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 316 and 322.
US 1 between Mile Markers 69 and 94.
