Snow showers have tapered to flurries across the mountains from the Alleghanys to the North Carolina High Country. However, strong winds and the dry powdery snow cover will lead to blowing and drifting snow at times. This will create snow cover on roadways, and may reduce visibility. Drive with caution if you have to travel across the mountains this morning.
