Greenbrier River At Alderson affecting Monroe, Greenbrier and Summers Counties. For the Greenbrier River...including Alderson...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT... Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE... Greenbrier River at Alderson. * WHEN... From Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning. * IMPACTS... At 12.0 feet, Flooding begins along portions of Route 3 downstream from Alderson near Eagle Branch. At 13.5 feet, Additional low spots downstream from Alderson along Routes 12/3 are flooded. At 15.0 feet, Farm land along river bank near the gage is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:45 PM EST Friday the stage was 6.9 feet and rising. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Saturday afternoon to a crest of 14.3 feet Saturday evening.
