Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE... Portions of western Maryland, including the following areas, Central and Eastern Allegany and Extreme Western Allegany and eastern West Virginia, including the following areas, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy, Western Grant and Western Mineral. * WHEN... Until noon EDT today. * IMPACTS... Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A cluster of thunderstorms producing very heavy rain is approaching the area from southeast Ohio and northern West Virginia. These thunderstorms have been producing rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches per hour.
