Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued August 17 at 7:24PM EDT until August 17 at 7:30PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm. Thus, a Special Weather Statement is still in effect for gusty winds up to 50 mph and pea sized hail.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central North Carolina.
