A portion of north central North Carolina, including the following county, Surry.

* WHEN...
Until 1000 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 659 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Big Creek, Bull Creek, Beaver Creek, Cooks Creek, Cody Creek, Chinquapin Creek, Caddle Creek and Ararat River.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
