Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Chatham, Durham, Johnston, Orange and Wake.

* WHEN...
Until 200 AM EDT.

Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

- At 1056 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Smithfield, Hillsborough, Wake Forest, Garner, Carrboro, Fuquay-Varina, Clayton, Butner, Zebulon, Benson, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Knightdale and Micro.
