A period of snow is likely Friday morning for the Allegheny Highlands from Garrett and western Allegany County through western Pendleton County. Snowfall accumulations around a coating to an inch are most likely during this time, and with temperatures below freezing this may cause snow covered and slippery surfaces during the morning commute.
The snow is most likely between 5 AM and 10 AM Friday morning.
Afterwards, some light snow or flurries may persist late Friday morning into Friday afternoon and there may even be some freezing drizzle along the ridge tops. Another period of steadier snow is expected to develop late Friday afternoon and Friday night.
