Some locations with wet roadways have seen a return of patchy black ice this morning where temperatures have fallen below freezing. Be prepared for isolated slick spots, especially in rural areas, on bridges and overpasses, and on any untreated roadways. Use extra caution when walking on sidewalks, driveways, and in parking lots.
Visibility will be poor across some locations above 3500 feet this morning, mainly across Avery County, due to lingering fog. If driving across the region this morning, be on the lookout for sharply reduced visibility.
