Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

* WHERE...
A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following areas, Beaufort, Greene, Lenoir, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Northern Outer Banks, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington.

* WHEN...
Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms are ongoing across portions of ENC, and this is expected to continue for at least several more hours. Flooding and flash flooding is ongoing in this area, and the risk of flooding is expected to extend into early this morning. Some of the hardest hit areas have received 3 to 6 inches of rain, with an additional 1 to 3 inches likely. Additional thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, which will exacerbate any areas already experiencing flooding.
