At 915 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong thunderstorms over Davidson County. One storm was located near Lexington, moving southwest at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Winston-Salem, Lexington, Thomasville, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Linwood, Denton, Gordontown, High Rock Lake and Arcadia.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 83 and 104.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 182 and 187, and between Mile Markers 189 and 201.
