Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE... Appomattox River above Farmville. * WHEN... From this evening to early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS... At 20.0 feet, South Street, Depot Street and East Second Street are flooded and impassable near Gross Creek. River Road and North Virginia Street are closed and impassable. Water reaches the structures and business along Plank Road near Main Street and also the Appomattox River Company building. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:05 PM EST Saturday the stage was 13.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 20.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
