Flows in rivers may increase quickly and reach critical levels. * WHAT... Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE... Portions of Virginia, including the following areas, Alleghany VA, Bath, Bland, Craig, Giles and Tazewell and southeast West Virginia, including the following area, Monroe. * WHEN... From 1 AM EST Friday through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS... Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall on top of residual snowpack will lead to increased runoff concerns. 1 to over 3 inches of rain is expected across the watch area.
