At 529 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles west of Fuquay-Varina, or 13 miles northeast of Sanford, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, and Knightdale.
