Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes, Surry and Yadkin and Virginia, including the following counties and independent cities, Carroll, Charlotte, City of Danville, City of Martinsville, Halifax, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania.

* WHEN...
Until 315 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Overflowing poor drainage areas. Stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 916 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Anglin Branch, Aarons Creek and Ararat River.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
