Portions of Virginia, including the following counties, Alleghany VA, Botetourt, Craig, Montgomery and Roanoke and southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Monroe. * WHEN... Until 1145 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 833 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Standing water on roadways and water rescues of stranded vehicles have been reported. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Barbours Creek, Bee Branch, Broad Run, Catawba Creek, Allen Creek, Blue Spring Run, Carvin Creek and Bens Run. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Castle... Catawba...
