At 632 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles west of Asheboro to 8 miles southwest of Goldston. Movement was northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Durham, High Point, Chapel Hill, Burlington, Asheboro, Graham, Hillsborough, Randleman, Pittsboro, and Siler City.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 63 and 93.
Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 72 and 79.
