Canceled 5/23/22 11:00 PM Flood Advisory issued May 23 at 9:06PM EDT until May 23 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE... A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Anson, Richmond and Scotland. * WHEN... Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 906 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Laurinburg, Rockingham, Hamlet, Hoffman, Ellerbe, Dobbins Heights, Wagram, Gibson, East Laurinburg, Norman, Sandhills Game Land, East Rockingham, Laurel Hill, Camp Mackall, Derby, Diggs, Blewett Falls Lake and Covington. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
