Light snow falling across the northwest Piedmont of North Carolina into southern Virginia will only bring a light coating of snow.
However, with temperatures well below freezing, any snow will create slick travel.
If traveling be alert to the possibility of slick spots.
Allow for extra time to reach your destination and avoid sudden stops or accelerations. Also allow plenty of space between yourself and the vehicles ahead of you.
