Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...
A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the following county, Watauga.

* WHEN...
Until 430 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 245 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the heavy rain producing thunderstorms which prompted the advisory have moved out of the area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area as water from the earlier heavy rain collects in streams and other low-lying areas. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
