Canceled 2/16/25 9:06 PM Blizzard Warning issued February 16 at 1:21PM EST until February 17 at 3:00PM EST by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC * WHAT... Blizzard conditions. Snow accumulations between 4 and 9 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph. * WHERE... In Maryland, Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties. * WHEN... Until 3 PM EST Monday. * IMPACTS... Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... Damaging wind gusts will reach the area before rain changes to snow. Then, a rapid freeze will occur as temperatures quickly drop late this afternoon and evening. Visibility will be reduced to a quarter mile or less at times late this afternoon through Monday resulting in blizzard conditions and significant blowing and drifting snow. ![]() |
