Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

Portions of central and south central Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in central Virginia, Amherst, Campbell and City of Lynchburg. In south central Virginia, Bedford.

* WHEN...
Until 1215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 911 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Blackwater Creek, Bold Branch, Big Otter River and Bore Auger Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
