At 1216 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated the leading edge of showers and thunderstorms along a line extending from 9 miles south of Gatlinburg to 7 miles southwest of Murphy, and moving east at 35 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Sylva, Bryson City, Franklin, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, Hot Springs, Webster, Dillsboro, Smoky Mountains-Newfound Gap and Smoky Mountains-Balsam Mountain.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph will be possible in these areas.
