Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4 inches, with some locations up to 7 inches along the Tennessee border.
Winds gusting up to 65 mph, with up to 75 mph on the higher ridgetops.

Avery County.

* WHEN...
From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...
The snow may make some roads impassable and may produce power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. Very strong winds could cause damage to trees and power lines.

The frequent and strong wind gusts will result in some blowing and drifting of snow.
