At 933 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southwest of Lincolnton, or 4 miles east of Cherryville, moving east at 30 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Gastonia, Lincolnton, Mt Holly, Belmont, Cherryville, Bessemer City, Dallas, Stanley, Cramerton and Lowell.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail will be possible in these areas.
