At 324 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 7 miles east of Morganton, or over Valdese, moving north at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Lenoir, Sawmills, Granite Falls, Valdese, Gamewell, Hudson, Cajah's Mountain, Drexel, Connelly Springs, and Rutherford College.
