Urban area, stream, and river flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues, with the potential for isolated rock and mudslides in some areas. * WHERE... Portions of southwest Virginia, including the following counties, Buchanan and Dickenson and southern West Virginia, including the following county, McDowell. * WHEN... Until 900 PM EST Friday. * IMPACTS... Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams and rivers continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Isolated rock and mudslides remain possible. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 223 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated additional rain moving into the area. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen thus far. As a result of the saturated ground, landslides and debris flows have been reported in some locations. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
