Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued May 8 at 7:13PM EDT until May 8 at 7:15PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA
The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, small hail, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with these thunderstorms.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for north central and northwestern North Carolina...and south central, southwestern and west central Virginia.
