Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Caldwell.

* WHEN...
Until 600 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 259 PM EDT, Heavy rain due to multiple thunderstorms has fallen across far northern Caldwell County. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the Buffalo Cove area, especially along Buffalo Creek. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
