Tornado Warning issued May 10 at 5:00PM EDT until May 10 at 5:15PM EDT by NWS Raleigh NC
At 459 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 8 miles southwest of Carrboro, or 10 miles north of Pittsboro, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Orange and northeastern Chatham Counties, including the following locations... Bynum, Fearrington and Jordan Lake.
