* WHAT...
Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following county, Union NC.

* WHEN...
Until 115 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. Rapid rises and high flows along area creeks across Union County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1011 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across Union County NC. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Expect rapid rises along creeks and streams throughout Union County, especially along the western portion of the county.
This includes Twelvemile Creek and Waxhaw Creek and branches and tributaries flowing into the Catawba River. As rainfall increases across the eastern portion of the county, rises can be expected along Goose Creek, Crooked Creek, and Richardson Creek as well as other small branches and tributaries. With additional rainfall amounts of 1-2 inches, high water in greenways, parks, and other low-lying areas will be possible.
Expect ponding in low areas along roads and underpasses.
