At 1100 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles south of Downtown Concord, or 5 miles west of Midland, moving east at 15 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Downtown Concord, East Charlotte, West Concord, Mint Hill, Unionville, Harrisburg, University City, Reedy Creek Park, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Midland.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail will be possible in these areas.
