At 810 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm with frequent lightning 12 miles northwest of Morganton, or near Table Rock, moving southeast at 10 mph.
Locations to be impacted include...
Table Rock, Linville Falls, Lake James, Lake James State Park, B.R.
Parkway-Linville Falls To Grandfather, Jonas Ridge, and Oak Hill.
In addition to intense lightning, very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour will be possible in these areas.
