At 450 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles west of Fuquay-Varina, or 13 miles northeast of Sanford, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Crosswinds Boating Center and New Hill.
