Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

Portions of north central North Carolina, including the following counties, Caswell, Rockingham, Stokes and Surry and Virginia, including the following counties, Charlotte, Franklin, Halifax, Henry, Patrick and Pittsylvania.

Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will produce periods of heavy rain through this evening. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches in an hour may result in flash flooding. The greatest threat is expected in urban or flood-prone locations.
