THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 247 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN VIRGINIA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA CITY OF BRISTOL CITY OF NORTON LEE RUSSELL SCOTT WASHINGTON WISE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABINGDON, APPALACHIA, BENHAMS, BIG STONE GAP, BRISTOL VA, CASTLEWOOD, COEBURN, DYE, HANSONVILLE, HILTONS, HONAKER, LEBANON, NORTON, PARDEE, ROSE HILL, ROSEDALE, AND WISE.
