Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

A portion of south central Virginia, including the following counties, Charlotte and Halifax.

* WHEN...
Until 545 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 240 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Cargills Creek, Big Branch, Devils Branch, Aarons Creek, Dan River, Black Walnut Creek, Buffalo Creek, Delaney Creek, Difficult Creek, Bluestone Creek and Banister River.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
