Areas of dense fog has developed across portions portions of the northern Piedmont tonight with visibilities lowering to a quarter mile or less at times. Visibilities are expected to improve between 9 and 10 AM this morning.
If you encounter dense fog while driving, turn on your low beam headlights, slow down, and keep your distance from other vehicles.
